About SIC

Structural Integrity Consultants (SIC) is led by a highly experienced structural and corrosion engineer with more than 20 years of expertise in protecting and extending the life of critical infrastructure.

Our team has worked on projects across New Zealand and internationally, including rural bridges, rail viaducts, ports, stadiums, and the iconic Auckland Harbour Bridge, as well as major works in Australia, Canada, the UK, and the Middle East.

Our specialist knowledge covers corrosion protection system design, materials selection (including weathering and stainless steels), durability planning, condition assessments, and failure analysis. We are known for delivering practical, cost-effective solutions that reduce whole-of-life costs for asset owners.

SIC has also contributed to key industry guidance, including the New Zealand and Australian Weathering Steel Guides, Steelwork Corrosion and Coatings Guides, Waka Kotahi’s Protective Coatings for Steel Bridges, and SNZ TS 3404:2018.

At the core of our work is a commitment to safer, longer-lasting, and more sustainable infrastructure. By combining trusted technical expertise with digital and AI-driven innovation, we help clients make smarter decisions about their assets. Our focus is on advancing the industry towards lower-carbon solutions, reducing waste, and paving the way for digital twins and AI-assisted inspection systems.
